We have recently attended the above property and have identified there to be a downpipe that is discharging onto the ground, which is not connected to the stormwater system. The downpipe is located on the We believe that excessive water discharging against the side of the property could be detrimental to the integrity of the structure of the building.
We recommend the following:
* Spot-dig at the base of the downpipe to locate if an existing service is present.
* CCTV camera inspection of the pipe if found to confirm the condition of the pipework is good enough to connect to.
* If no signs of existing stormwater, we should run the CCTV Camera down the other stormwater pipes to be able to identify if we can make a connection to the existing system.
All works will be carried out to Australian Standards AS3500 and will be within OH&S Guidelines.
