We have recently been engaged to attend to the above property after hours as an emergency call out. Due to the danger of a gas leak we attended site with urgency to assess the issue. Upon our inspection we identified the smell of the gas to be localised in the We found a section of pipework which was leaking gas and required immediate attention. In this instance we were able to cut a small section of affected pipework out and install a new section of pipe, welding up and making good.
We carried out the following:
* Isolated the gas
* Purge out the excess pressurised gas
* Weld over the affected section of pipework
* Allow to cool and reinstate gas
* Cut out the sections of pipework as necessary and weld up to suit the application
* Test and commission service.
